Stinson’s Industrial is currently seeking to fill an immediate job opening for Project Manager/Estimator.  Our Industrial Maintenance Project Manager/Estimator bridges the gap between the hands-on trades (millwrights, pipefitters, welders, machinists, fabricators, electricians, etc.) and the business side of projects.

Hours:

This is a full-time salaried position.  This position may occasionally require long hours, nights, and weekends.

Day to day tasks and responsibilities may include:

📋 Project Management Responsibilities

1. Planning & Coordination

• Develop project scopes, timelines, and budgets for shutdowns, retrofits, or equipment installs.

• Coordinate multiple trades (millwrights, pipefitters, welders, electricians, etc.) to ensure smooth workflow.

• Schedule crews, equipment, and materials for maximum efficiency.

• Ensure compliance with safety regulations, plant policies, and OSHA standards.

2. Oversight & Execution

• Supervise work during plant outages, turnarounds, or major maintenance projects.

• Monitor progress to keep projects on schedule and within budget.

• Serve as the primary point of contact between the client, engineers, and field crews.

• Troubleshoot unexpected issues (equipment delivery delays, design conflicts, breakdowns).

💲 Estimating Responsibilities

1. Cost Estimation

• Review project specs, drawings, and site visits to calculate material, labor, and equipment needs.

• Prepare detailed cost breakdowns and bid packages for industrial clients.

• Evaluate subcontractor bids and vendor pricing.

• Factor in contingencies, overtime, and potential risk costs.

2. Proposal & Client Interaction

• Develop proposals and present them to clients or plant managers.

• Revise bids based on client feedback, design changes, or scope adjustments.

• Negotiate pricing and clarify scope to secure contracts.
